Editorial Meh
Yoshima: Hentai Simulator is a cohabitation-style adult visual novel in which the player shares an apartment with the title character, grinding through work minigames, buying gifts, and building a relationship stat to unlock an escalating gallery of scenes. The character design — widely noted as closely inspired by Marin Kitagawa from *My Dress-Up Darling* — draws genuine affection from a portion of the audience, and the still art quality is described as pleasant when consistent. A handful of players found the premise charming enough to carry them through. The broader community, however, is sharply critical. The most persistent complaints are the dialogue — described as stilted, repetitive, and possibly AI-generated — and a grind loop that outstays its welcome well before the two endings are reached, with players routinely skipping entire stretches of the game by sleeping through days. Adult scenes are limited in number and considered underwhelming by most who comment on them. On the technical side, multiple reviewers across platforms report freezes when giving gifts or triggering certain scenes, at least two crashes, and a launcher filled with ads that strikes paid-game buyers as inappropriate. These bugs appear frequently enough across the review pool to represent a real pattern rather than isolated incidents.
