Yoshima: Hentai Simulator is a time-management dating sim with serious execution problems. The core loop—grind minigames for money, buy gifts, unlock scenes—gets repetitive fast, and the 75-day playthrough is padded with filler that kills momentum. Dialogue is stilted and unnatural; many players skip it entirely. Art quality is wildly inconsistent, with backgrounds lacking detail and some character poses feeling off. Most critically, the game is buggy: players report frequent soft-locks during gift-giving and minigames, dialogue that won't advance, and crashes that force reloads. A DLC was prioritized over fixing these known issues, signaling abandonment of the base game. The character Yoshima herself has appeal (though heavily inspired by Marin Kitagawa), and some still art is pleasant, but poor writing and constant technical friction undermine any charm. At full price, this is difficult to recommend; even on sale, the grind and bugs make it a chore rather than entertainment.
