Editorial Meh
Yoruhana has striking pixel and hand-drawn artwork that players consistently praise, and the voice acting and character work show ambition. However, the game is severely held back by two problems: crippling control issues (most notably an inaccessible key pickup mechanic that blocks progression) that frustrated multiple reviewers, and a broader lack of content and clear direction. At roughly 2 minutes of gameplay per update, with scenes that get recolored between patches, the demo feels incomplete and exploratory rather than ready to play. The developer is spread thin across multiple projects, and the community consensus is that focusing on finishing one game would dramatically improve both the quality of individual releases and player trust.
