Yakuza Outlaw EX is a stat-management visual novel with multiple branching endings tied to your performance as a police officer—a concept that works well in theory. However, players consistently report that the game suffers from poor pacing: progression is slow, minigames feel tedious and chore-like, and the English translation is noticeably machine-generated and rough. The current build also has a significant technical flaw: mouse input fails during sex scenes, forcing players to use a controller as a workaround (a fix was partially addressed in v1.2.0, but the problem persists for many). If you can tolerate slow progression and don't mind the translation quality, the layered ending system and stat-juggling offer some depth for players who enjoy min-maxing their playthrough; otherwise, this is a hard pass.
