Editorial Meh
World of Corruption is an early-stage adult VN with hand-drawn animation and a premise centered on corrupting characters through stat-driven and power-driven transformation systems. Community reception is divided: players praise the character art (styled after 80s anime) and appreciate the developer's transparency, but core complaints cluster around unfinished fundamentals. Writing feels generic and inconsistent—some dialogue is stiff or reads as AI-generated, and all characters share a samey 'snarky Joss Whedon reject' voice despite their different roles. The UI needs work: no stats menu yet (promised in development), character notifications use placeholder names instead of ones you've chosen, and progression feels unclear—several players report hitting dead ends after just a few scenes with no clear next steps. The NTR system is optional but prominent enough to concern players wary of its implementation. The game is charming and has promise, but it's visibly rough and mid-development; expect to wait for more substantial updates before the vision solidifies.
