Wawaneko Island

Wawaneko no Shima is a charming puzzle-platformer where you play as a character who transforms by eating onigiri (rice balls) to solve environmental puzzles and progress through a mysterious island. The core mechanic revolves around managing your character's state—each onigiri eaten changes your abilities, interactions with other characters, and how you navigate the terrain. With simple controls (jump, shoot, and eat), you must master context-sensitive behaviors to overcome increasingly clever level designs. The game features retro-style pixel art (160×90 field with 8×8 characters) and distinct mechanics for above-water and underwater sections, requiring you to physically learn each stage's logic to uncover the island's secrets.
