Editorial Don't bother
Waifu Dating Phone is a bare-bones dating-sim concept currently offering minimal content: one conversation and one date per character, with generative-AI art and text-based interactions. Players who've tried the free build report enjoying the premise and character selection, though the experience is extremely short. The game's core problem is scope—it's essentially a proof-of-concept rather than a playable game. Beyond that, aggressive paywall placement (including tags locked behind paid versions, which violates site rules) and version-numbering confusion have created frustration in the community. A small contingent enjoys what's there; most see an unfinished project with a monetization strategy that outpaces actual content. The recent removal of a false-positive security quarantine is a plus, but the game needs substantial content and clearer pricing before it becomes recommendable.
