Velvet

Velvet is a single-player adult match-3 puzzle game featuring four handcrafted routes, each following a different woman: an office boss (Aria), a goth alternative girl (Raven), a gym crush (Kayla), and a sweet neighbor (Elena). On an 8x8 board with six gem types, players tap connected groups of three or more gems to clear them and progress through five escalating stages per route. Each stage presents a specific goal—clearing colors, clearing totals, or triggering cascades—with a fixed move budget and clear pass/fail conditions. Completing stage five of any route unlocks that character's animated reward scene with dialogue and replayable gallery access. Gameplay emphasizes puzzle-first progression with distinct visual themes, music, and difficulty per route. Each girl has unique special gem abilities tied to her personality: Aria uses fire-based powers, Raven commands shadow and stone, Kayla has gym-themed abilities, and Elena's powers reflect her nature. The game is built in Godot and available on Windows, macOS, and Android, with version 1.0 marking the full public release and Steam launch featuring optimized stage-based progression and refined presentation.
