Vacation! has built a loyal following on the strength of its visuals — reviewers consistently call it among the best-looking 3DCG visual novels around, praising the detail and care put into each scene. The characters and their dynamics are warmly received, and the gay-focused cast (ranging from lean twinks to the occasional DILF) seems to hit the right notes for its audience, even if some debate the specific look of newer characters like Toby. The main caveat is that this is a work firmly in progress: at v0.5.2, content is still accumulating slowly, and a portion of the community finds individual updates underwhelming in length — a few short animated scenes per drop. A scripted energy-check bug in Day 3 can silently block a scene without warning. If you're patient with episodic pacing, the craft on display makes it worth following; if you prefer to wait for a fuller experience, now is a reasonable time to wishlist and return later.
