Editorial Meh
TunnelBound is an early-stage roguelike dungeon crawler centered on bondage mechanics, with a clear vision and strong potential—but it still needs significant tuning and polish. Players consistently praise the core concept, map system, and mechanical creativity, but encounter serious balance and clarity issues: multiple-enemy fights appear designed to be unwinnable without exploits; escaped characters can trivialize the dungeon by ignoring enemies; speed potions and stat mechanics create runaway imbalances; and crucial systems (Focus, clothing repair, pleasure/submission mechanics) are either unexplained or incomplete. A detailed quest tracker bug and inconsistent NPC behavior (the Watcher spawning / pathfinding) add friction. Most reviewers are constructive, clearly invested in the game's direction, and acknowledge it's unfinished—but the gap between intent and current execution is wide enough that casual play often devolves into cheese strategies rather than intended combat. For players comfortable with experimental, rough-around-the-edges projects, the bondage-focused dungeon concept has real merit and the dev's responsiveness to feedback suggests these issues are fixable. English-only text and sparse explicit content so far will disappoint some; others appreciate the restraint-focused design. The build runs (no crashes reported), but the design is clearly mid-development, and several mechanics feel half-baked. Come back in a few versions if you want a more coherent experience.
