Editorial Meh
Triple Ex divides its audience sharply. Supporters praise its ambitious narrative scope, character dynamics (especially between the MC, sister, and daughter), Scottish dialogue charm, and humor—with several calling the writing the best they've encountered in adult games. However, substantial criticism points to a plot that has lost momentum and coherence over development: players report the story "dragging," becoming "confusing," or circling without forward progress. A recent update drew particular frustration for padding with excessive worldbuilding detail (lengthy descriptions of trivial geography) rather than meaningful plot or character advancement. The cast has also grown unwieldy—many find too many characters dilute focus and emotional investment. Aesthetically, opinions on character models are mixed; some find them characterful and attractive, others find them unappealing or oddly proportioned. Sex scenes are rated inconsistently: some "good to great," others "mechanical" with mood-killing dialogue. The game remains playable and complete, but feels like a work that started strong and has since lost direction.
