Editorial Has potential
Toy Tester is a creative and well-executed toy interaction simulator with responsive controls and appealing character art that players genuinely enjoy when they can run it. However, the game suffers from severe, widespread performance problems: it crashes on startup for many players, becomes unplayable after repeated actions, and demands unreasonable system resources even on capable hardware (RTX 4070Ti maxing out VRAM, crashes on integrated GPUs, RAM exhaustion). The developer openly acknowledges these issues stem from poorly optimized texture implementation and cum decals, and promised optimization patches months ago with no delivery. The build is effectively broken for a significant portion of interested players, though those with high-end systems report genuine fun with the core mechanics. Development appears stalled—no updates in over a year despite being positioned as a demo, with the team "too busy" for the promised performance fixes.
