Editorial Has potential
Third Crisis is a stylish, story-driven adult RPG with strong character writing and excellent artwork that earned genuine affection from its audience—particularly for protagonist Jenna and the branching moral choices between "pure" and "pervy" paths. However, the game is genuinely divided: enthusiasts praise the plot, humor, and visual presentation, while detractors point to tedious turn-based combat, padding, and uneven pacing that undercuts the narrative experience. Most damning are scattered but serious technical reports—stuttering, lag, crashes, and combat bugs—that some players say make the game unplayable on their systems, though many others report smooth performance. The Russian localization is particularly problematic, introducing cascading text bugs that force English playthrough. Despite these issues, fans often recommend it on sale as a worthwhile experience if the build cooperates; the sequel Neon Nights apparently addressed several of these complaints.
