Editorial Has potential
Netoria Tactics 2 is a confident, well-designed sequel that builds meaningfully on its predecessor's strengths. The tactical combat system impresses—creative use of limited inventory slots as a progression mechanic avoids grinding while forcing tough decisions—and the writing across multiple character routes demonstrates real craft: players widely praise the emotional depth of romance arcs, the thematic coherence of branching narratives, and how mechanical abilities often reflect each route's story. Act 2 for Zaman has landed with four distinct endings tied to player choices, each exploring different relationship and power dynamics. However, the current build is rough. Recurring bugs plague multiple routes (skill slots failing to unlock, items vanishing mid-mission, grope scene gallery broken, switched scenes between routes), and several players report UI friction (small sprites on high-res displays, no visible menu selection highlight, no way to return to main menu from certain screens). The game is playable and substantial, but these technical issues noticeably diminish the experience. Community opinion on the narrative itself splits—some find the new rebel antagonists underdeveloped compared to earlier villains, and a few players felt surprised by story beats that diverged from their reading of character arcs—but strong engagement across multiple playthroughs and detailed discussion suggests the writing lands for its intended audience.
