Editorial Has potential
The Time Tinkerers was abandoned mid-development by its creator, who cited personal circumstances and an unclear incident ("the ops got me") as reasons for shutting down the project entirely. Community response before the abandonment was genuinely enthusiastic: players praised the rare time-travel premise, the focus on a married couple in a swinging dynamic without humiliation or partner-stealing, the engaging dialogue, and the AI artwork as a refreshing alternative to Daz renders. The developer had shared an ambitious, multi-chapter roadmap with creative world-building (Victorian London, fantasy realm, cyberpunk Tokyo, and beyond) that excited readers. The loss is keenly felt—several reviewers explicitly noted this was one of the few games on the platform they genuinely valued for both story and character work, not just content. While some early feedback noted heavy dialogue and a lack of player choice, those were minor notes on what most saw as a strong creative foundation. The game remains a completed prologue only, and the developer has indicated possible interest in revisiting the story as a non-adult novel, though no concrete plans exist.
