The Mansion of Whispering Desires

The Mansion of Whispering Desires is a supernatural mystery visual novel that blends Japanese folklore, cosmic horror, and romance. You play as Akira, whose girlfriend Yuki was killed in a car crash. Weeks later, Akira joins his professor Akane on an expedition to investigate the legendary Kagetsu Mansion, a site connected to the Amayorome Myth—a tale of an imprisoned god and a cursed land. Upon arrival, Akira discovers the mansion is far more than a ruin; in his sleep, he is transported to a thriving version of the estate where he encounters the mysterious hostess Sayuri, her servant Mizuki, her daughter Momiji, and—impossibly—his deceased girlfriend Yuki. As Akira navigates this dreamlike sanctuary, he discovers a corrupting evil at work, blurring the line between waking life and desire. The game features branching choices that lead to different consequences, and presents four distinct story arcs totaling 16–24 hours of gameplay with multiple endings, character-specific scenes, and approximately 1,300 CGs.
