The Man Behind is an NTR-adjacent corruption sandbox — you pursue one or more heroines (including Kaguya and Chika, recognisable Kaguya-sama stand-ins) while managing a voyeur shop, a gym coach, and branching NTR versus vanilla routes. The phone-based group-chat mechanic draws genuine praise as a fresh touch, and the multi-route design gives replay value; community enthusiasm for updates is real. That said, the game's appeal is squarely aimed at NTR and corruption fans, and players on other routes find the shop's progression tied almost exclusively to NTR content, which may limit satisfaction. The Android build is a meaningful problem right now: the standard Ren'Py quick-menu is absent, save/load is inaccessible without autosaves, the phone UI cannot be scrolled, and mission hints are cut off — rendering a significant portion of the game effectively unusable on mobile. The PC version appears to run without those issues. Progress is clearly mid-development, with content still locked behind future updates, and the community has filled the comments with navigation questions, pointing to design that could use clearer in-game guidance.
