Editorial Has potential
Heroes of Eroticism - New Beginnings is a story-driven visual novel about superpowered siblings (or childhood friends, by choice) navigating college and a world hostile to their kind. The narrative has genuine depth—exploring prejudice, character development, and world-building—and most players who stuck with it found the plot engaging and well-paced, with solid humor and interesting character arcs. However, the game's appeal is sharply divided by sexual expectation: the title promises "eroticism," but delivers only one real sex scene across three chapters, focusing instead on arousal and teasing. Players seeking frequent hardcore content will feel misled; those who value story over spectacle often call it a bargain at a sale price, though less so at full cost. The writing has noticeable grammar and spelling errors that distract grammar-conscious players, but remain comprehensible. Visuals are serviceable—character models are attractive and female designs avoid some genre clichés—but the male protagonist's rendering and constant half-erect state confuse and annoy players. A UI quirk of oversized character portraits sliding in during dialogue breaks immersion for some. The game remains unfinished (three of nine chapters on this platform); a minority report persistent crashes mid-game. Opinion splits cleanly: those valuing narrative recommend it; those wanting sexual gratification do not.
