Editorial Has potential
The Elemental Witch is an ambitious fantasy RPG with hand-drawn art, world-building details, and a shapeshifting combat mechanic that reviewers find genuinely engaging. The prototype shows polish in its presentation and scope—players praise the art style, map design, and lore scattered throughout the world. However, the game is severely hampered by fundamental balance and mechanical failures in its current build. Combat is painfully slow with wildly unbalanced damage (magic and physical attacks deal nearly identical damage despite different costs), broken status effects that don't work or last forever, unrunnable random encounters, and no escape option. Multiple reviewers report getting stuck on NPCs mid-playthrough, and the narrative suffers from jarring sex scenes with zero lead-up. The developer has acknowledged these issues and put the game on indefinite hold; while they express hope to resume work and port to Android, the current prototype is too broken to recommend despite its creative promise.
