The Edge of the Map

The Edge of the Map is a sandbox RPG where you start over in a new town with complete freedom to shape your identity and life. Using Twine/SugarCube, the game emphasizes player choice across multiple playstyles—become a hacker, crime lord, regular worker, or build a quiet domestic life. Navigate daily cycles through various locations (downtown, suburbs, park), manage stats (Dexterity, Intelligence, Charisma, Strength) through activities like work and gym training, engage with NPCs in romance and relationship storylines, and participate in minigames including job work, stock trading, and casino gambling. The game features AI-generated visuals paired with hand-written dialogue and code, combining a text-based narrative foundation with a clean, intuitive UI to track inventory, character bios, and progression.
