Tangled Threads opens with a genuinely intriguing premise—a shadowy council manhunt for a dangerous killer—but early execution stumbles on worldbuilding and character grounding. The MC wanders through a magical setting without clear motivation or understanding of its rules (Unions, Rooks, the Bizarre itself remain unexplained), and his detachment from the escalating stakes undercuts tension. Writing shows ambition and the developer is actively working to tighten craft, yet the current build struggles with pacing, lore clarity, and narrative focus. The game offers five love interests with distinct visual appeal and a promise of sexual content in Chapter 2, though community interest is divided: some find Mila's locked femdom route a dealbreaker, while others appreciate that design choice as character specificity. The current build is playable but clearly mid-development, with extraction issues on some platforms and a case-sensitive scripting error that crashes part of Chapter 1.
