Editorial Has potential
Succubless is a short, lighthearted visual novel–card game hybrid with a straightforward premise: seduce succubi and other fantasy races on an island by winning card battles. The appeal is clear and delivers on that promise—attractive character designs with diverse body types and races, 15 animated sex scenes with solid visual quality, and a simple card system that gets out of the way via auto-battle. However, the game is undermined by widespread, acknowledged AI translation that renders dialogue often incoherent or nonsensical (reviewers cite "口口" (corrupted text) and word-salad sentences throughout). The card mechanics, while functional, lack strategic depth or clear tutorial guidance, making them feel more like busywork between scenes. Opinion splits sharply: fans of the art and premise give strong recommendations despite the flaws; others find the poor writing and mechanical shallowness make the game not worth its asking price, especially at full price. Most agree the experience improves if you accept it as "turn brain off and enjoy the visuals" rather than expecting coherent storytelling or engaging gameplay.
