Editorial Has potential
Succession launches with a sharp premise — a penniless heir suddenly inheriting a fortune and competing for a sprawling estate against an aristocratic family — and solid character work, particularly around the teasing dynamic with Suki and the intrigue surrounding Catherine and Lorde. Visuals are strong (though some renders suffer from inconsistent lighting). However, the game is hamstrung by a clunky mandatory sandbox mechanic that has frustrated a vocal portion of players: free-roam segments force exploration of a large house to find scattered events, with some content easily missed or bugged (clothing inconsistencies, phone calls that fail to trigger, event stubs for unimplemented scenes). The story also has coherence issues — the legal premise strains credibility, and the MC's motivations feel thin. The debate over NTR tags, character routes, and harem potential adds to player confusion about what the game actually offers. Opinions divide sharply: those drawn to the characters and writing enjoy it despite the sandbox frustration; others see the mandatory free-roam as a dealbreaker that will only worsen as development continues.
