Editorial Has potential
Studio Sensation is a management sim with solid mechanics and appealing art that has earned genuine appreciation from engaged players. The core loop—hiring models, managing their training, and completing photo shoots with variable outcomes—feels satisfying, and the UI improvements (like exclamation marks for new events) show developer responsiveness. However, the game suffers from persistent technical friction: a critical save-corruption bug triggered by specific in-game events, text rendering so small it becomes unreadable on modern displays, and confusing UI affordances (unclear room mechanics, unclear special-request requirements, math errors in feedback text) that frustrate even supportive players. The recent Patreon disappearance has left version distribution fragmented and uncertain. For a completed release, this is rougher than it should be—not unplayable, but requiring real patience to work around.
