Editorial Has potential
Slave Alive is a text-heavy punishment/domination game with a grinding gameplay loop that players find engaging but hampered by a buggy, unfinished build. The core appeal—a negotiation-based system where choices determine in-game consequences—earns praise for design depth that "other major games could learn from"; players who push through report it's "pretty good." However, the game is plagued by softlocks (dialogue freezes) that force restarts, performance stutters during key scenes, and a frustrating final day that appears deliberately rigged. Graphics are admittedly PS1-tier. Community sentiment is split between those who value the mechanic (and work around bugs with mods/cheats/saves) and those driven away by instability. The build needs serious fixes before it's playable for most; the creative work underneath has fans, but they're playing despite—not because of—the current state.
