Discipline: The Record of a Crusade

Editorial Worth it

Discipline is a fan-made Ren'Py port of a 2002 eroge classic, bringing a notoriously hard-to-run game to modern systems in widescreen. The community response is overwhelmingly grateful—players praise the restoration effort and are eager to replay a formative title. Complaint patterns are modest: a few isolated bugs (a zoomed CG, a replay-mode crash, minor text typos, and one repeated dialogue block) that don't significantly impede play, and some players finding the protagonist's constant internal monologue and passive resistance grating. Content-wise, reviewers confirm moderate rather than extreme violence and sexual content—no graphic genital mutilation like Starless, but gore and sexual violence are present and integral to the work. The port itself runs stably for most; this is solidly a completed restoration of an existing game rather than new creative work.
