Editorial Has potential
Shattered Worlds is an ambitious philosophical fantasy VN with strong writing, intricate branching narrative, and a genuinely compelling story that demands player attention. The world-building and lore are rich, the three male romance options are distinct and well-developed, and the OST—particularly the haunting title theme—is genuinely memorable. Players consistently praise the thoughtful, unpredictable choices and the organic integration of intimate scenes. The catch: this is a one-developer passion project still in active development (Chapter 5 planned). The game is playable and stable, but rough around the edges. AI voice acting glitches badly (accents and pitches shift mid-scene), and there are occasional mismatches between CG content and narrative description. Mobile support exists but untested. Most significantly, the story *demands* engagement—long philosophical monologues, slow burn pacing, and heavy reliance on the player caring about the metaphysical stakes before meeting the romance interests. That philosophical density is exactly why some players find it brilliant and others find it tedious. Expect a polished creative work wrapped in a rough, evolving build.
