Editorial Has potential
Scarlet Chains: Fallen Athena is an early-stage RPG Maker demo with genuine creative promise—dark medieval fantasy erotica that lands its tone and aesthetic well, with sex scenes that players consistently praise for visual quality and atmosphere. The core appeal is solid: dungeon crawling, stealth sections, and a corruption/submission narrative that engages its niche audience effectively. However, the build is substantially broken right now. Invisible walls trap players in the goblin lair, save-file corruption occurs across version updates, quest state bugs prevent progression, and combat has severe feedback and hitbox issues that make encounters frustrating and sometimes unwinnable without warning. The developer is active and responsive to reports—even offering fixes and compensation—but the current 0.1.5b release is mid-development despite being labeled a demo, and players should expect to hit progression walls. If you can tolerate (or help debug) a rough build, the creative bones are worth revisiting; otherwise, wait for a more stable checkpoint.
