Description
Root and Ruin is a first-person, grid-based dungeon crawler RPG in the style of classic party-based dungeon RPGs. You manage an adventurers' guild in a village and recruit parties of five to explore an ancient temple deep in the forest that has been consumed by roots. As your party explores one square at a time, the map draws itself automatically.
Combat is turn-based, with both adventurers and enemy "monster girls" (former priestesses of the temple) progressively undressing as they take damage. Defeated enemies trigger explicit scenes and illustrations. Back in town, players level up characters, allocate skill points, trade harvested materials for better equipment, and decide how deep to venture next. The game features six adventurer classes (Warrior, Guardian, Priest, Alchemist, Explorer, Bard), each with multiple visual variants and unique damage stages. The free version covers the first three floors; the extended version ($8) includes all ten floors and additional classes.
