Editorial Meh
Power Is a Choice is an early-stage adult game built on an ambitious premise—using wealth and influence to seduce powerful women through a mix of corruption and negotiation. The core concept has merit for its audience, but the execution is severely hampered by an unfinished build and thin design. The most pressing issue is technical and structural: players encounter broken quest chains (notably the Robert dialogue loop that halts progress), missing content for characters like Peta and the university president, and a bloated 1.5GB file size that contains mostly empty rooms and dead-end navigation. The UI lacks basic conveniences (no scrolling, no exit buttons in key scenes), and many spaces exist only as clicking busywork. Beyond the bugs, the game suffers from scope creep—too many half-started locations and characters instead of depth in the few that exist. Some players appreciate the minimal-grind philosophy and heavy video content, but others find the story thin and the pacing of corruption implausibly fast (characters consent within a few lines). The developer is responsive and aware of these gaps, having released early to gather feedback, but the current build is too skeletal to assess the creative vision fairly. Interested players should wait for a more stable update; what's here is framework, not game.
