Potion of Desire is an in-development adult game with a protagonist whose modest, cute design is a rare and well-liked alternative to the genre norm. Players consistently praise the character art and proportions, and appreciate the game's writing ambitions and personality. The core creative work—character design, writing, and world-building—shows genuine care and lands well with its audience. The build, however, is rough. Multiple players report quest-blocking bugs (guild tasks not advancing, faction-locked progression, drunken assault triggering issues), Mac builds are broken, and some UI elements fail to display full text.
