Anailezd is a romantic fantasy RPG set in a kingdom with an unusual tradition: only women born into the royal family can become heroes. The protagonist, however, is male—the kingdom's sole legitimate heir—and has been magically disguised as female since childhood to comply with this custom. When the dark army Ryuko invades, the protagonist must set out as the "Princess Hero" to explore the world, uncover its secrets, and confront their own identity. Played in the style of 1990s JRPGs, the game combines dungeon exploration, turn-based combat, and narrative progression with real-time costume changes and an embarrassment meter that influences social interactions. Alongside two party members—Aei, a rough-but-kind beast-girl, and Noran, a deceptively skilled noble—the protagonist deepens bonds (including sexual) while battling powerful enemies. The story weaves comedy and drama around gender-bending and self-discovery, featuring 17 explicit scenes across approximately 15 hours of play.
