Neko Desktop Pet 2 is a customizable desktop companion with a cute character that responds to music and allows extensive body/outfit customization. The creative concept is charming—players love the BPM-synced dancing, the character's expressiveness, and the mix of SFW and adult content options. However, the current build is rough around the edges: multiple outfit textures fail to display (Yoga Outfit Long, Street—White, Sport Bra show as topless), animations break or clip badly, the multi-monitor system often fails unless users manually apply workarounds, and some features (music detection, puppeteer mode, sex animations) are unreliable. The dev is actively patching, which is encouraging, but several core systems still need work. For players willing to tolerate bugs in exchange for a well-intentioned, customizable pet with real personality, it has appeal; for those wanting polish, wait for another update or two.
