Neko Desktop Pet 2 has a genuinely enthusiastic following for what it sets out to do: a customizable NSFW desktop companion who dances in sync with whatever you're playing, reacts to mouse interaction, and lets you dress and pose her to taste. The BPM-reactive dancing in particular earns real excitement from buyers, and the character design is broadly well-liked. Feature requests — more skin tones, idle adult animations, AI integration, randomized toy use — point to a community that wants to invest further, which is a good sign for the concept. The current build, however, is carrying a heavy bug load. Multiple clothing items (Sport Bra, Yoga Outfit Long, Street - White, Running Shoes) simply don't render, leaving the character topless or barefoot by default. The futa toggle is reported as non-functional by several users. Multi-monitor support is broken for many configurations, requiring workarounds. Music detection fails for Spotify and browser-based sources on some setups. The puppeteer mode breaks inconsistently, and the character won't reliably stay on top of other windows. Description

Neko-chan is an interactive desktop companion application that sits at the bottom of your screen while you work, study, or browse the internet. The game functions as a virtual pet with a 3D animated character that you can pick up, dress, pose, and interact with at any time. Neko-chan responds to your actions by moving around your screen, chasing your mouse cursor, stretching, and dancing—particularly syncing her movements to music playing in the background from platforms like Spotify or YouTube Music. The application offers extensive customization options including over 100 unique clothing items, adjustable skin tones, hairstyles, body configurations (including futa/tomboy variants), and various interactive poses and animations. It features both a standard roaming desktop pet mode and a newer Companion Mode for a static on-screen presence similar to a V-Tuber setup.
