Violet Sunset

Editorial Worth it

Violet Sunset is a character-driven adult VN with a lesbian focus (70% of content) featuring optional futa characters that cannot be swapped to female variants. The game has strong community engagement—the dev is responsive to feedback and actively refining mechanics—but the Anya puzzle minigame has become a point of friction: it combines math, a distraction mechanic ("watching" a moving character), and timed code input, which players report as obtuse and momentum-killing. The dev acknowledges the design is intentionally pressure-focused and has committed to making it skippable and more transparent in upcoming updates. Opinions split cleanly: those invested in character work and story appreciate the game's direction; those frustrated by the puzzle or its content split (no all-lesbian playthroughs without skipping characters) are vocal but appear to be in the minority. A few isolated crash reports mention the minigame specifically, but most gameplay feedback is positive otherwise.
