Editorial Meh
A very short adult visual novel built around the joke-premise of romancing a centaur, *My Girlfriend Is… Centaur* earns genuine goodwill for its HD character art, relaxed atmospheric soundtrack, and the odd earnest tenderness it brings to an absurd subject. The detailed creature design is clearly a labour of love, and players who enjoy monster-girl or centaur content specifically will find exactly what they came for. That said, the game's biggest creative weakness — called out repeatedly across the community — is its extreme brevity: most players clock between six minutes and half an hour of actual content, and the narrative barely has time to breathe before it ends. Branching is minimal, storytelling feels more like a prologue than a complete work, and the premise's potential goes largely unexplored. The audience is niche and knows it; for them this is a solid, unpretentious delivery of a specific fantasy. For anyone hoping for substance beyond that fantasy, it is a very thin experience. Community sentiment divides cleanly along content-fit lines: players who enjoy the fetish content rate it warmly, while those who don't — or who stumbled in by accident — find little else to hold them. A few reviewers note the game passes more quickly than Steam's minimum session timer suggests, which inflates apparent playtime. Technical complaints are essentially absent; the build runs without reported issues. Overall this is a polished but razor-thin niche curio.
