Editorial Has potential
Mousetrap is a BDSM-focused adult game with strong art and environmental design, but the project is in serious disrepair. Players consistently report that versions 1.5–1.3 felt like a genuinely playable game, while patches 1.6 onwards represent a near-total rebuild that has left the current state (1.8) broken: sex scenes fail to trigger, dialogue boxes go black, outfit customization is buggy, and checkpoints don't save. The developer has acknowledged a major engine rebuild mid-development, but the result is an unfinished alpha masquerading as an update. Community sentiment is divided on content—some want more variety beyond lesbian and futanari BDSM—but the real issue is that the game doesn't work reliably enough to engage with any of it. For fans of the older versions, there's nothing here yet; newcomers should wait for a stable rebuild.
