Mind Shackles is a dark tactical RPG combining turn-based combat with psychological exploitation mechanics. You play as the Hunter, tasked with breaking the will of proud warriors and defiant captives held deep within an inescapable dungeon. Rather than killing them, your goal is to systematically exploit their mental barriers—Logic, Pride, and Shame—to claim them as your own. Combat is a strict tactical engine requiring you to balance pressure across all three mental shields, bringing them to 50% before striking the core Willpower. You manage Dark Energy as a resource, choosing between safe guaranteed hits or risky assaults that can trigger devastating backlashes. Broken shields regenerate dynamically, and unbalanced defenses trigger enemy enrage effects. Successful interrogations unlock memory-based challenges for massive core damage. Between battles, you manage your Hub—a control center where you spend Corruption Points earned through post-combat Dungeon activities. The Dungeon phase features a kinetic clicker system with direct scroll-wheel animation control and a Climax Protocol mechanic. You can also sign demonic Pacts before combat to bend reality's rules, though these introduce severe vulnerabilities. The Castle hub area unlocks dialogue archives, a skill tree, and an achievement gallery tracking your conquests across campaigns.
