Editorial Has potential
Mind-Control Talisman is a story-focused hypnosis RPG that has found its niche audience and earned consistent praise for narrative depth. Three powerful female adventurers must recover mind-control talismans scattered across the world, with player choices determining whether they resist corruption or succumb to various forms of mental control. The writing is genuinely strong—reviewers frequently highlight detailed world-building, well-developed characters, and clever branching scenarios where NPCs react dynamically to story progression. The game excels at emotional weight, showing characters grapple with trauma and loss of agency in ways that feel earned rather than exploitative. The main weak point is production value: artwork is described as crude, rushed, or "dated-looking" across many reviews; CG count is sparse and often unfinished mid-scene; there is no voice acting. These are not minor issues for an adult game—they materially limit "practical" appeal. The Steam version also ships with bugs requiring an external patch to unlock two characters' full routes and prevent crashes, though patching is straightforward. Gameplay is light (battles are trivial; the game is really a visual novel in RPG clothing), which some find refreshing and others find thin. If you're drawn to hypnosis/brainwashing fiction and can tolerate rough art, the writing and scenario design justify the price; if you're shopping primarily on production polish or visual appeal, look elsewhere.
