Lustpunk 69 is a Slay the Spire–style roguelike card battler wrapped around a cyberpunk revenge narrative and a collection of animated sex scenes. The card mechanics are accessible and fun at first, and character artwork is consistently well-rendered; however, the game's core loop collapses almost immediately once players discover that a handful of cards (Cool Glasses, Special Ammo, Energy Surge, Copy effects) create an unbeatable infinite combo that trivializes every fight from the midgame onward. By the second or third hour, combat becomes pure busywork—battles are decided before they start, and the game devolves into repetitive clicking to unlock the next scene. The sex content itself is decent (11 total scenes, with 6 interactive "premium" variants offering pose/speed choices), but it feels tacked on rather than integrated; the narrative between encounters is generic gang politics that most players skip. The base mechanic of recruiting defeated enemies to your HQ is promising but completely underbaked—characters stand as static images with no interaction, dialogue, or meaningful gameplay tie-in. Art quality is high (though noticeably AI-enhanced), but the game lacks the strategic depth, replayability, or erotic immersion needed to justify the asking price. It's playable, technically stable, and occasionally engaging, but it's fundamentally a well-polished one-afternoon experience masquerading as a full game.
