Lust & Lament

Lust & Lament is a slow-burn visual novel set in the religiously conservative town of Graceford. When a new Mayor introduces progressive policies on race and sexuality, the town's rigid traditions begin to crack. The protagonist, a soft-spoken senior, finds his normal life upended as he, his girlfriend, and his mother each confront forbidden desires and deep-seated prejudices. The narrative explores how residents respond to cultural change—whether they resist or succumb to a tide of transformation already sweeping other cities.
