Editorial Don't bother
Lust Among Shadows began with promise in v0.1—a quirky, character-driven game with a distinctive visual style and playful approach to its fetish content. The v0.2 remake, however, represents a sharp creative pivot that most players experienced as a step backward. The story was stripped down and rewritten into a generic power-fantasy: the MC became a hypnotized-dick archetype whose mere presence causes women to lose agency, family dynamics flattened into cardboard, and dozens of supporting characters (Lilly, Sarah, Sydney, Madison, Amelia, Nora) were cut entirely. The remake sacrificed variety, world-building, and pacing for sheer content volume, with the result feeling rushed rather than impactful. Most damning for longtime players: Angie, the game's visual signature—celebrated for her exaggerated proportions and arc of self-acceptance—was redesigned into a generic bombshell, losing the character-specific identity that made her memorable. The project now appears dormant. The original writer quit, the artist moved to a new project ("Oversized"), and the Patreon has been silent since March 2026. Community interest has largely evaporated. Those seeking size-difference or extreme fetish content may find the v0.2 renders appealing on a surface level, but players who valued storytelling, character work, and distinctive voice—even within adult game norms—will find little to salvage here.
