Editorial Has potential
Keep the Dragon is an early-stage mining-and-romance game with pixel art and a dragon-girl focus that has genuinely caught players' attention. The core gameplay loop—mining for gold to spend on upgrades and affection—is described as quick and satisfying, and the art style earns consistent praise. However, the build is currently rough: the Windows version has a critical launch bug that leaves some players unable to interact with anything, save features are missing, and fullscreen controls are unclear. Beyond technical issues, content is extremely sparse—one review describes "1 cheap, non-explicit pixel animation and that's it"—so sexual progression is not yet implemented. Players are patient and excited about the potential, with genuine engagement around future features (pregnancy/family content, minigames, intimacy options), but right now there is very little to actually play. The game reads as an active prototype with a solid foundation and real community goodwill, not a finished experience.
