Editorial Has potential
Indoctrination is a Mass Effect fan-game with strong character work and scene design that lands well for its audience—players consistently praise the quality of the intimate scenes with Liara, Miranda, EDI, Tali, and Jack, and appreciate the effort to recreate the Normandy and familiar setting. However, the game is stuck in slow development limbo: v0.2 is incomplete, with only a handful of scenes, no clear roadmap, and the developer openly working at a "snail's pace" on future updates with no ETA. There is also notable community division over the FemShep character model—some find her compelling, but others feel her art direction clashes with the photorealistic style of other characters and lacks the familiarity of established face models. For those who connect with the Mass Effect setting and the character roster on offer, the current content is worth exploring; for others, the slow release cycle and incomplete state may prove frustrating.
