Editorial Has potential
Icha Ane is a sizeable visual novel with animation and voice work that players consistently praise for its writing and presentation — a 30+ hour experience that rewards patience. However, the game is currently held back by a frustrating technical barrier: it requires Locale Emulator or manual OS region/format changes to Japanese in order to launch on non-Japanese systems, and even then players report inconsistent success. The protagonist's name remains untranslated in dialogue despite community translation efforts, and the UI translation is incomplete. For those willing to troubleshoot installation and live with partial English support, the creative work itself is solid; for others, the friction may not be worth it.
