Editorial Has potential
Horizon Heights is an exploration-focused RPG in early development with a devoted community, but its technical rough edges currently overshadow its creative potential. The game suffers from inconsistent hitboxes, invisible UI triggers, crashes (especially during guitar sequences), platform incompatibility (Android), and missing quality-of-life features like a quest log—issues the developer acknowledges as growing pains from learning RPG Maker MV while building the project. That said, players who push past these friction points report discovering 3+ hours of content and appreciate the game's foundation; the creator is clearly learning and committed to improvement. Community feedback is divided between those frustrated by the bugs and those patient with an early build, though the technical state is the genuine barrier here, not the creative direction.
