Editorial Has potential
Holy Sword Cecilia is a classic-style WolfRPG adult adventure with a devoted niche following, but it is fundamentally broken for most modern players. The core creative work—branching story, costume-gated routes, stat-based and defeat-based intimate scenes—is solid and replayable, with players praising the depth of choices and hidden content. However, the game is crippled by severe localization and technical barriers: text rendering is broken or illegible without third-party tools (Locale Emulator or thcrap_loader), the UI stretches or distorts on resize, and installation itself trips up many users. The community consensus is clear: this is worth playing for patient veterans or Japanese-speakers who can navigate the workarounds, but the barrier to entry is punishing enough that casual players will bounce off immediately. A few still encounter crashes and display glitches even after patching.
