Editorial Meh
Hiyori's Summer NTR Lessons is a blackmail corruption game with a weak grip on its own systems. The core appeal—a busty schoolgirl seduced by her teacher while in a relationship—is competent enough on paper, but execution stumbles badly. Event triggers fire nonsensically (scenes activate without obvious cause, stat progression contradicts itself, dialogue references acts that haven't occurred), the boyfriend feels tacked-on despite the NTR framing, and perspective shifts between teacher and girl feel random rather than purposeful. The gallery hints at elaborate branching paths that never materialize or remain opaque. The previous fan translation's heavy-handed edits (renaming characters, inserting fetish advocacy) created confusion that the official retranslation has now resolved, revealing the game's actual structure—which, unfortunately, doesn't hold up to scrutiny. What remains is a short, visually decent VN that fails to deliver the coherent corruption arc or meaningful NTR dynamic it promises. Community response divides between those forgiving the chaos as 'mediocre but playable' and those finding it too broken to follow.
