Hempel's Raven #2 Promise

A general store owner named Gyousekawa Sanhou is attacked by monsters one night, only to be rescued by Chinami Tojo, a swordswoman in black. Through this encounter, Sanhou discovers the hidden side of the world. Chinami is a "Raven"—an elite monster hunter who slays the grey creatures called "Alma." She holds the prestigious title of "White Feather," the strongest Raven of her generation, though her tough exterior masks a sincere commitment to protecting others. Sanhou, who inherited and now runs a curiosity shop called "Vesper" from maternal grandparents, is a kind-hearted person who wishes for others' happiness. The story follows their unlikely bond as danger and mystery unfold.
