Heartbreak Detour

Heartbreak Detour is a visual novel and the third episode of Heart City Stories, an anthology of episodic standalone romance games set in Heart City, a thriving arts and culture hub. The story follows a male protagonist who arrives in the city to confess to his crush, only to face rejection. A chance encounter with a bubbly girl from his past throws him into city adventures, love lessons, and questionable decisions as he works to find the courage to pursue romance again. The narrative explores whether his heart will remain faithful to his original goal or fall for someone unexpected, weaving together themes of heartbreak, friendship, and personal growth against the backdrop of an artistic urban setting.
