Editorial Meh
Great Day is mid-development and currently too broken to recommend. Multiple players report crash-on-load errors ("could not find label 'kitchen_study_2'"), dead-end branches with no placeholder text, and a Linux build with corrupted line endings that won't run at all. The walkthrough situation is chaotic: the dev claims hints are in-game, but players consistently can't find progression paths and get stuck at story gates. Beyond the build issues, the game's creative foundation shows promise—players engage with the romance and consequences system—but the writing suffers from jarring translation or stylistic shorthand that makes dialogue feel stripped of natural rhythm; one player described it as "caveman speak" or overly noir, and the dev acknowledged the problem but hasn't fixed it yet. Mind control plays a major role in progression, which some players find frustrating; the dev is unapologetic about this design choice. Until the script errors and missing content are patched, and the prose cleaned up, this is unfinishable for most.
