Editorial Meh
Going to the Caves NTR stands out for its art direction—reviewers consistently praise the visual style as a major strength. However, the creative core falters: gameplay is repetitive and poorly designed, with intrusive mechanics (randomized stat grinding, constant interruptions from collecting items, unclear win/loss conditions against enemies) that actively undermine the corruption narrative the game is trying to tell. The sleeping minigame's RNG gating of NTR scenes further frustrates pacing. On the technical side, the build is playable on PC but plagued by platform issues: Android users hit black-screen CG problems due to image compression, and at least one player reports a late-game softlock with missing audio and unresponsive NPCs. Community feedback is divided—some enjoy it despite flaws, others find the repetition and grinding tedious—but the most detailed critiques highlight fundamental design choices that sabotage the experience.
